Actually a polar bear’s hairs are clear and its skin is brown, but the
reason it appears white is because its fur is so thick (similar to how snow
appears white even though it’s made up of countless clear snowflakes).
Cruitnie (or however it’s spelt) is often mistaken for earth’s second moon
but it in realy it’s a quasi-satelite or an asteroid that comes into orbit
with eareth every few centuries or so.

same point in HAVE GLOVE WILL TRAVEL, when he discovered that he could
out-run Hall-of-Famer Ferguson Jenkins.
